The Big Blunder
Project Type
Sonnet
Date
10/2024
Location
Idaho, USA
A satire on life's setbacks, which, with humor and exaggeration, reveals how comedy can be reflected in our own mistakes. This sonnet portrays a clown show full of mistakes, where even failure becomes a spectacle, provoking laughter in the audience, who watch the great blunder enchanted.
On a stage, the clown appears,
With so much uproar, almost heartless,
The audience, attentive, laughed in delight,
Seeing such a foolish blunder.
In the middle of the scene, a laugh,
Was heard in the distance, in a tired way,
The clown, dazed, got the line wrong,
Turning the night into a great blunder.
But behold, in the end, with so much bravado,
The show ends, with yet another scam,
Which was so bad, it turned into marmalade.
Everyone laughed at the bold nonsense,
And the clown left, in a mess,
Called the master of foolishness.
