The mind that lies

The mind, this vast field where we navigate in search of truths, often becomes a stage for illusions and deceptions. Sometimes we seek clarity, the pure light of truth, but we are faced with shadows and distortions that the mind itself creates to confuse us. This sonnet, "The Mind That Lies", explores this internal struggle, this battle against the veils of illusion that blind us and divert us from the path of authenticity.

The mind, like a treacherous animal, laughs at our attempts to find an absolute truth, makes us hesitate, makes us question what is real. But perhaps, if we could embrace this lying mind, who knows, we might not find in it a trace of peace and truth? Below, I share the words that give life to this profound reflection and then a series of images that visually capture this internal struggle. May we, together, reflect on the nature of our minds and the truths we so seek.

Sonnet:

In the vast field of the mind, I go, distressed,
To seek pure truths, without deception,
But behold, the mind itself, like a cloth,
Covering my eyes, lying about its crime.

I seek the light, the infinite brightness,
But the lie lurks, it is vile arcane,
It transforms the clear day into vile profane,
And the mind laughs, I hesitate to laugh.

Oh vile mind, that confuses me so much,
That you seem more like a beast in a dark space,
Because lying is more than deceiving yourself.

If I could give you a strong hug,
Perhaps the truth would infuse you,
And peace, at last, would find a trace.

Here are some surrealist images that capture the essence of "The Mind That Lies." They depict a distorted, dreamlike landscape with a man searching for the truth, shrouded in deception, against a backdrop of bizarre shadows and floating objects. The dark atmosphere and distant light symbolize the eternal struggle between truth and the deceptive nature of the mind.
