Sonnet I: From the Cherished Land

Born in the heart of Cela's verdant plain,
Where green unites with hope beneath the sky,
A childhood rich in sweetness tinged with pain,
In Angola’s pulse, where futures reach and cry.

I’ve lived through wars, their blood on paper stained,
With wounds of strife and memories carved deep,
Each verse a soldier’s cry, a cause sustained,
For freedom's gift is ours alone to keep.

Through endless nights where dreams in shadows play,
I weave my lines of love and conflict’s fire,
Recalling lands where vibrant pulses stay.

Angola, cradle of my soul’s desire,
The poet's voice still heralds hope today,
With pen in hand, I craft my fate entire.

Sonnet II: The Air Bridge of Memory

When history called, I soared on destined wings,
Fate’s mighty hand bore me across the sea,
From cherished lands of countless precious things,
I fled, yet carried Angola's heart with me.

Within my soul, the images still cling,
Of Cela’s strength, its every memory,
While scars remain, reminders sharp they bring,
Of echoes past, of loss, and fraught decree.

But distance cannot dim the fervent flame,
Nor time erode the love that dwells inside,
Angola, pure, still sings its sacred name.

That bridge once parted hearts yet unified,
Through it, my people seek tomorrow’s claim,
To peace, where destiny and hope reside.

Sonnet III: The Echo of Freedom

Angola cries, and freedom’s echo grows,
Through fields and streets, through mountains and each vein,
Where every soul with steadfast courage shows,
A dream of joy that silences our pain.

A mighty roar across the darkness flows,
Through shadowed nights where fear and silence reign,
It lights the path, where truth’s conviction glows,
And guides the heart to clearer skies again.

In poetry, I find my strength and say,
Through verse, the power to pursue and fight,
For art, in chains, still shows a freer way.

Between these lines, I glimpse a future bright,
Angola, yours is freedom’s vast array,
Through words, I sail to bring your soul to light.
