Generous Heart

In this sonnet, I explore the virtue of acting with a pure heart, without expecting rewards or recognition. True nobility lies in giving oneself completely, knowing that the greatest satisfaction lies in the peace we find within ourselves, and not in the world's response.

Generous Heart

Do everything with the purest heart,
Without expecting the praise that the world gives,
For those who give without thinking of themselves,
Carry within themselves the light of redemption.

The reward is in the peace, in the gratitude,
That springs forth in those who, with soul, give everything.
There is no power that can subdue it,
Nor sorrow that can destroy this affection.

May disappointment find no home,
In the chest where this certainty reigns,
That good, by itself, brings the dawn.

And so, in life, with simple nobility,
Live love, without expecting anything else,
For the reward is beauty itself.
