Let me grow old gracefully
Project Type

Let me grow old with grace and fiery love,
Freed from all afflictions, woe, and pain,
And all life's cruel uncertainties thereof,
With wisdom gained and passions that remain.
By my side, I want a love that doth embrace
All that I am, without pretense or guile,
With hands entwined and hearts one in pace,
Sharing life's ups and downs with a loving smile.
I wish to age with dignity and pride,
With passion still aflame and burning bright,
In gratefulness for every elegant night,
No longer lost in trivialities or desire's tide.
Let me grow old with clarity of mind and sight,
With wisdom in my heart that guides my way,
Knowing that I lived my life with might,
And fulfilling all that was my duty day by day.
I seek to face each challenge with brave resolve,
With courage to surmount each obstacle I see,
No longer tempted by vain and shallowness to solve,
But only seeking joy, love, and true harmony.
Let me age with grace and embrace each strife,
Knowing that my struggles had meaning and worth,
Unafraid of death or of the end of life,
And ready to embark on a new journey forth.
May I be remembered not as an example to follow,
But as one who lived with passion, purpose, and drive,
With freedom to dance, to sing, and to be alive,
Growing old with joy, laughter, and love to swallow.
Thus, let me age with music, rhyme, and grace,
With a heart full of love and memories aglow,
Each beat of my heart a testament to embrace,
Each step of my dance a celebration to bestow.
