Sonnet for My Children: Michael, Steven and Cristina

Sonnet I:

In this world you are my dawn,
Vital breath, the pulse that animates,
From the sky to the dark cloak of the journey,
You are the work, the lamp that cherishes.

In the rough seas, you are my sword,
The anchorage where the soul always expresses itself,
Your fairy blossoms in each step,
That makes life light like a masterpiece.

Oh my children, you are my clear essence,
In the dreams where laughter is my path,
In each struggle the weight becomes nothing.

For you are the path where hope stops,
For you, the flame of the heart ignites,
Reason for life and the breath that sustains me.

Sonnet II:

You are the light that always guides me to the heavens,
Oxygen that gives breath to life in me,
Strength that does not waver on any day,
Love that shelters me in a safe harbor.

With your presence, joy radiates,
Pieces of my shared essence,
You are my eternal epiphany,
In your laughter, I see my beloved soul.

Oh my children, who are peace in my life,
In each embrace, the most golden calm,
In each look, a reason to win.

For you, my prayer is renewed,
You are the love that teaches me to grow,
A beacon that my soul eternally cries out for.

These sonnets were written for my children, who are the light of my world, my greatest inspiration and my reason for living. May each verse carry a little of the immensity of the love I feel for you.
